PRODUCT:
To meet the needs of the brewpub industry, Applied Bottling Ltd. offers the Single Head Counter Pressure Filler and Crowner (SHF), a compact table top machine that takes up less than 4 square feet of working space. The SHF is a single head counter pressure filler and a single station crowner with manual bottle feed. Bottles are placed manually in a rotating carriage and rotated under both the filling and crowning heads. This process will require one full-time operator.  

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION:  

Bottle Transfer – The SHF has a manually actuated rotary bottle carriage that arranges the bottles in the correct position for both filling and crowning. Switching between different bottle sizes is simple with the addition of extra bottle guides.  

Filling Process – CO2 pre-purge and counter pressure, fill while venting, controlled pressure equalization and then complete pressure equalization as fill head lifts. Product is filled under a blanket of CO2 with the speed of fill regulated through a needle valve. PLC controlled 24 VDC Solenoids control the flow of product, CO2, Vent and By-pass operations.  

Crowning - Crown compression is actuated via a pneumatic cylinder to ensure consistent sealing of the bottle and preservation of the product. Crown caps are loaded into a hopper at the top of the machine and slide via gravity into the crown loader. The crown loader slides the crown into position under the magnetic crowning head and is reloaded with a crown on the return stroke.  

OPERATING CAPACITIES:   System capacities are up to 6 bottles per minute depending on bottle size.

AUTO-LEVEL UPGRADE  

Upgrade to the new Auto-level Fill Valve. Also included in the upgrade is the remote start and stop function for greater flexibility during operation and Digital Control Panel. Thje Digital Control Panel allows the user to set the pre-purger, counter-pressure and vent times of the machine.
