Bay Island Brewery

Bay Island Brewery CO.S.A is located on beautiful Caribbean island Roatan, it is part of Bay Islands in Honduras territory. This corporation was establish 2000 and later start to build brewery on the island. The corporation start making beer at January 2005. From Honduras government aquired 10 years free of tax status. That mean still 8 years to go. It is located on two acres with ocean view to both sites of the island. It has own well 330 feet deep with great water.

The building is three story with basement, it is exact copy of Spanish fortress from 17 century, all made from stones, concrete and metal. / Old style European work/

Basement:
Fermentation Room with:
5 open ferments tanks each.. .15HL
1 open ferment tank..................25HL

Aging room:
16 aging tanks .......................10HL each, double coated

Technical room: with 5 Grunfus pumps / Germany/ and tank 20HL of cold water and computer for running cooling system. / three extra

Room for filling kegs
Storage room for kegs and bottles / cooled down/ with elevator to main floor.
Filtration room with DE filter VELO 2m2/ Italy/ and German desk filter and with two frigirators for east storage.

Main floor:
Room with brewhouse 20HL daily, all stainles steel technology made in Czech Republic/ Bohemia/
Gas heated.
Storage room for malt and hops. /30 tons of malt/
Workers room with bathroom and shower / for 8 people/

Room with bottle line for soft drinks and beer with elevator from basement.
Room for DE storage with elevator from basement. In main floor is also instaled cooling system, which is cooling down 20HL of water in basement, later cold water is distributed by Grunfus/ Germany/ pumps to aging tanks and fermentation tanks. There is back up cooling machine.

First floor:
There is office with connection / house phone/ with brew room and apartment of the owner.
Brewery has modern communication system and is permanently connected with internet. It has apartment with bathroom and shower.
Above apartment are located two stainless steel tanks with capacity 35HL of water. This water is warm up with solar panels, which are located front of the brewery./Hot water for free/
Brewery is connected on main electric system RECO / Roatan Electric Company/ brewery has also separate building for own electricity, back up diesel generator 25KW.
Another gasoline generator 18KW in storage!
It has ready also 4 wind turbines /each 4 KW/ with 25KW special engine and generator for this energy. All this is run automatically by electronic system from separate building.

Electricity:
110V, 230V, 400V
Around brewery is open storage with roof. In each corner solar light for night. There is machine for cleaning kegs, storage for kegs, storage for bottles and plastic cases. Room for maintenance with tools.
Room for cooking sirups for soft drinks. Distilation room with European machine for making liqueurs. Storage room for sugar / 1 ton stainless steel tank/
It has space for fixing cars with access under car and another large storage. On the property are two 20’ containers as extra storage and one mobile home for visitors.
On the property is lot of space to build restaurant with parking. / brewery has building permit/

KEGS:
Brewery has 80 kegs 58.8 litres
There is also tank for propane gas / 2000 gallons./
With the brewery coming also Trademarks for BAY ISLAND PILS, BAY ISLAND ALE, BAY ISLAND LIGHT and COLA LOCA. In proces getting trademak are ROATAN ORANGE / same as FANTA/ ROATAN LEMON,/ same as SPRITE / ROATAN ICE TEA./ Strawberry and blueberry/Brewery is able to make 6000 bottles of beer daily / 0.33l/ 6000 bottles of soft drins daily.
Brewery own 17 dispenser units which are located in hotels and restaurants all over island.
Brewery is selling because of health problem of the owner.
